Students involved will learn everything they need to know about being an English BSED major both now and in the future. Although an academic organization, the NCTE Student Affiliate is one filled with excitement and a sense of community. All members of the NCTE Student Affiliate have an immense interest and passion for the study and/or teaching of English, and thus, each member is surrounded by fellow students of all walks of life with similar career goals, which makes it easy for bonds to form within the organization! NCTE helps keep the passion for teaching English alive in each and every member through fun, exciting activities that lead to experience and growth in the field. The NCTE Student Affiliate offers a variety of hands-on learning opportunities, such as tutoring and volunteer work, for members to participate in.

The West Chester University Student Affiliate chapter of NCTE is an organization dedicated to student participation in discussions, presentations, volunteer opportunities, field observations, and forums .
